Yesterday we rescued this little fellow. My nephew

Yesterday we rescued this little fellow. My nephews in cascais are like magnets for stray cats and he appeared a few days ago but was too shy to get close to the house.
Then yesterday he was desperate enough for food that he sat outside their back door crying.

As they already have three of the seven rescue cats that have appeared in their garden over the years and they knew I was going to adopt a cat next week they called and asked if I wanted him. They said he was in good condition but starving and very skinny - maybe around one year old.
How could I say no?
I miss my two cats and my Chihuahua who lives with her mum in Mexico and just last week decided to adopt a rescue cat it was kind of freaky.
He had no collar no chip and is not neutered. Who could possibly abandon a gorgeous cat like this? Sadly this kind of attitude to pets is common in Portugal.
Anyway I took an Uber there and was waiting patiently in a carrier. I took some essentials from the nephews and took a car the 35 minutes home.
The little chap made one meow the whole trip. Bearing in mind he'd not seen me before he seemed so chill.
He spent last night glued to me and is so adorable.
I've named him Montegue - Monty for short.
Today he's going to my wonderful vet around the corner - in a grand palace no less to get injections, full check up neutered.
He has a new home with me now and he's acting like he's always been here.

In the last photo he was watching the new Frasier with me!

Another rainy day in paradise.

I couldn't find my Papa Nui yellow rain hat this morning. I last remembered putting it down while loading bags at the supermarket.
Had that feeling of loss when you know you did something stupid but can't wind the clock back.
So I wore this Cable Ami @cableami bucket that I bought from the owner of @kafkamercantile when I was in Aberdeen a few years back. I have so many hats but so often put them and decide they look weird.

Then a few minutes ago I had a feeling where I might find the yellow one. Sure enough it was buried under the massive stack of clothes in the living room waiting their turn for photography for my flat lay series.
So my memory of having definitely lost it in the supermarket was just one more manifestation of ADHD short term memory failure.
