Hutton Playtime in Hollywood – Thomas Crown Affair 1968

Hutton Playtime in Hollywood – Thomas Crown Affair 1968

1968 saw two movies where McQueen wore Hutton.

The first is the Thomas Crown Affair, a wonderful caper movie starring McQueen, faye Dunaway and some great comic work by Jack Weston (‘Irving, dear’).

Crown’s style in the movie is basically a Bostonian version of English gentleman style. However, that didn’t stop Steve from using his Hutton Playtime in the famous gliding sequence set to the soundtrack of Noel Harrison’s seminal interpretation of Michel Legrand’s Windmills of Your Mind.
